Celebrating 15 Years with Fixed Fee Property Sales

Harmony Homes in Ballynahinch

18th June 2021

INDEPENDENT online estate agency Harmony Homes is marking its 15th anniversary by offering homeowners an all-inclusive set fee of £999 for selling a property.

Founded by former financial services consultant Peadar Brown from Ballynahinch, Harmony Homes promises the fee includes promotion on Northern Ireland’s top two sites, Property Pal and Property News, brochures, a for sale board, and all necessary administration that goes with the sale.

Mr Brown is confident that more and more homeowners are realising the financial benefits of using online estate agencies like his rather than going to the high street bricks and mortar agencies.

He’s predicting an upturn in sales throughout the district as homeowners seek to capitalise on getting a return on their lockdown DIY projects.

“Homeowners, whether they are buying- ing or selling, realise the benefit of online promotion. The high street estate agency is top-heavy with expenses that are passed on to the general public,” he said.

“While other estate agencies are open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and are closed at the weekend, Harmony Homes is not. I can work seven days a week.

“I recently accepted an offer for a home on Sunday night at 7pm so I believe we can be more flexible but still effective in what we offer the client but they are get- ting it at a lower price.”

He said that another client’s home recently clocked up 900 views with four viewings set up within a day of going live.

Mr Brown believes that his business model is not only good for him but also for his clients.

“The internet can bring hundreds of potential buyers or sellers to your door and I have sold homes right across Northern Ireland. The world is a lot smaller and you don’t need to sit on the high street and sell in just one area,” said Mr. Brown.

“I’ve always worked in either retail or financial services and have always looked for the best deals for my customers and this transferred over to the estate agency. “With my deal, you pay £999 and you get your house sold, that’s it,” said Mr. Brown. “What’s been proved recently, particularly during the last year, is that hundreds of people can view your property online but they are not going into the high street agency.”

He knows from his past vast experience that homeowners appreciate knowing- ing an upfront selling fee, as well as out-of-hours contact. Harmony Homes offers the full range of services that you would expect from an estate agency from new builds, new sites, residential and commercial property sales, commercial lettings, property lettings, and landlord management and maintenance packages.

Harmony Homes still offers a £1 a day landlord property management fee as it did when the business first started.
